    Hi All!

We are experiencing history in the making here in Montana right now and I wanted to share this article with you and get all of your thoughts. http://missoulian.com/articles/2008/03/29/news/top/news01.txt

It is some pretty awesome stuff and even though in the short term there could be a significant fish kill the long term looks very good for the two rivers!

Awesome, now lets get some of the dams killing salmon out.

Joel, how dirty is the water, know that they have done the bypass?

It is really dirty right now Clint. There is about 300,000 cubic yard of sediment on the Blackfoot river side that is eroding away right now so there is a lot of fine silt in the river. I talked with a friend of mine in Superior (which is a town 70 miles down stream) and the river is stained down there now as well. I am certain that as soon as run off occurs and is over with the river will clear up nicely. So far the reports have been that there has been no fish kill with the caged fish down stream of the dam.

Clint what is your schedule like this week for fishing?

    Joel,

I can’t go Wednesday, but I think any other evening would work. The spillway is a little slow right now. I was there on Saturday and Sunday and it wasn’t real great. Six fish in about ten hours total, one good brown though. Once we start to get some runoff it will turn on, but until then I think it will be a lot of fishing and not much catching. However, I am always up for fishing so let me know if you want to go.
