Is it possible to take sharp photo shots of spinners in flight?
I saw a heck of a spinnerfall this evening on the way to the lake. All I could get to at the time was my Powershot ELPH 300 HS. With the hordes of brown drakes in the air while still plenty of daylight it made me wonder if you could get a good shot of them freezing the flies in flight.
We stopped by my favorite river just to see what was happening before going on to the lake. Brown Drakes were every where, both spinners and duns. Trout and chubs were busy stuffing themselves. I took a few photos with my PowerShot camera. No real editing software on my laptop, but I think they turned out pretty cool using the Phowershot ELPH point and click.

and a few Stenacrons (the old Stenonema) flying around too..

I added a Youtube video of the Brown Drake spinnerfall.. http://youtu.be/0TrBI61pBmg
