    Zach, I see that you have the 60mm micro Nikkor, and I’m wondering how you find it on the D70.

    I’m thinking about picking up a closeup lens, and the 60 looks like a great one, but I’m worried that it’ll be too narrow with the D70 crop factor.

    I’ve been considering the Sigma 28mm f1.8 instead.

    I’ll second Zach’s take…

    Nikon does some things well and some not so well.

    I hadn’t thought of the additional magnification as being an advantage, but now that I think about it, I guess if I’m using the macro capabilities of the lens, I’ll want a pretty tight focus anyway.

    I think what I really need (read: want) are two lenses, a fast prime for general use, and a macro lens.
