Anyone have any advice on lubricants to use for greasing up a reel?

I like Remington parts oil for the most part [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

If you ride mountain bikes these may sound familiar.

    Oil – Phil Tenacious Oil
Grease – Phil Waterproof Grease, (If the reel has bearings)

    Good Luck!

Ted Juracsik was pretty adamant that people not use second-hand lube, at least for his reels.

Ted’s reels also rarely, if ever, need to be re-greased because of the closed back design he employs on all of them.

I,ve been using Moly Grease ( left over from my slot car racing days:)). Nice and light . My reels are mainly click and pawl English and Redington AS and AL “s

Not sure if you’ve already done this and they haven’t responded yet, but thought I’d mention it. I’d email Galvan and see what they recommend. Bauer was nice enough to send me some oil to use free of charge.
