Hey guys –

At long last I’ve found time to host the companion article to my original “Cooking Up Some Lines”: “Taper Tech.”  Taken together, I think you’ll find these two pieces are the most comprehensive explanation of what’s going on with all these newfangled fly lines that you’ll find anywhere.  Thanks as always to Phil Monahan for making all this possible–now I’m going to get his podcast rolling.

Also, if you’ll check out the video section, I’ve posted an embedded link to the American Angler slideshow I put together from Ascension Bay.  Big thanks to Chad McClure at AA for the great job he did making this look so good.  I strongly advise you to click through to AmericanAngler.com to check out all the content they are hosting now (including complete back issues if you work their digital issue archive correctly.  Hint: click the Archive button once you’ve loaded your sample issue–you can even download PDFs).

Finally, I’m slowly but surely reloading the Photoblog.  I don’t have anything especially beautiful to offer you currently (other than shots of my wife, naturally), but there’s some good stuff coming through there soon.
