You are right, It sucks getting old  🙁 Sorry about that.  Too many forums to little short term memory.

However, that being said  I was hoping I could get some first hand reports or insight from someone who may have fished the area recently.  I wont be able to go to any of the fly shops that were suggested because they are out of the way.

    Sazbo…

Fishing is unseasonably slow on Lake Erie tribs right now — severe lack of rain this Fall is impeding our season. However, some fish are in and concentrated in the deeper holes that actually contain water.

If you’re in-town, definitely get out for a few hours — just hope for a few finning in faster water (or hit lake front). Fly choice is up for debate, but I start with buggers at first light and down size from there.

Higher temps do have them fighting like gang-busters…

    Good luck

Thanks Andy.  I see some rain in the forecast. I hope its just enough to get the fish moving and not so much it blows out the river.  Ill be up there on Monday and will be there a week.  I plan to go out not a few hours but a few days. Ive got nothing scheduled all week except to try to catch a few steelhead.  I ended up borrowing a Scott 8wt with a nice Lamson reel so I should be set.  Ive tied a few flies that I read about on the web, the sucker spawn and also crystal meth.  I also have plenty of size 12 nymphs and larger woolly buggers.  Ill post a report next week.

    Thanks again for the help.
