Just an FYI – rented a Canon 500mm f4 IS for a week from LensRentals.com
The lens was in immaculate condition when it arrived (and yes, I returned it in the same condition – heh). They include your shipping with the total bill – it’s round trip, and 2nd day air both ways. I rented with the insurance (like “duh” – I wanna $6k bill were I to break it? I don’t think so!)
Anyway – they made an error on my billing, overcharging me for shipping. They caught it, and informed me that they’d be issuing a credit the following day to rectify the error.
The lens and its case were well packed, and they included the return label inside the box.
It was a good experience, and I’d not hesitate to use them again.
Thought you’d all appreciate knowing how things went for me, should you ever be in need of a lens rental.
