What kind of ideas have you guys come up with to store/manage pre-made leaders without making “bird’s nest” in the tackle bag?

    Wrap it around your fingers,
    Secure with a twist tie
    Throw in a plastic bag.

I use small zip lock bags, the kind that are about half the size of the sandwich bags.

Leader wallets are nice, but there are less expensive alternatives out there.

I went to a local dollar store and bought some neoprene electronic cases for a buck each. The cases are the right size to hold prepackaged leaders, or the small plastic zip lock packages that leaders come in. The cases are made for holding smart phones or small point and shoot digital cameras. I slipped all of my leaders into one case. There is a second pocket that was just the right size to hold some small shot, small foam indicators, and some floatant.

Honestly, I usually don’t switch leaders often at all. I will use the same leader for several days. I swap out tippet meterial regularly. This small little pouch that I picked up is just a nice, neat way to keep my bag organized. The bonus is that the little neoprene pouch floats.

If you are one of those folks that doesn’t mind using an item that takes up more space, I used to use a CD case to hold my leaders. THe little plastic sleeves worked quite well. They are just a bit bulky in my opinion.- Check the dollar stores folks. You might be surprised at what you can find in those places.
