    Hi guys,

    I hate to do this, but does anyone have any experience with the Lamson Radius series of fly reels?

    David,

    2 friends of mine both have that reel paired up with their spey rods and it works just fine.

    The drag is literally identical to those used on the Lightspeed, Velocity, etc. – interchangeable parts, even.

    I have a radius on 2 different scott rods and have been used for 3 years of hard fishing w/o any problems.

    As Jerod indicated, you should be able to get a deal on a Radius (or a Velocity for that matter).  I’ve seen both heavily discounted.  I also recommend Madison River Fishing Company, which has both on sale.
