    As part of the Kansas City Cabela’s Spring Great Outdoors Days event this weekend (19 FEB), there will be a fly tying contest.  There are some darn good prizes for the three categories – Dry (Royal Wulff), Nymph (Prince), and Freestyle (you pick).  Each category has the following prize structure:

    1st Place – $150.00 gift card plus trophy
    2nd Place – $100.00 gift card plus trophy
    3rd Place – $75.00 gift card plus trophy

    I’ll also be there doing some seminars, so if you’re in driving distance of Kansas City, it might be worth grabbing your tying gear and heading up.  We’ll even teach you to build furled leaders without tools or jigs.
