    I just bought a small digital camera that can’t take raw pics. So I’m wondering: Can jpegs be altered with Photoshop?

    Also, are jpegs suitable for publication in print magazines?

    with CS2 and above you can open .jpg files in Adobe Camera Raw and process similar to how you would process a RAW file. You don’t get as many option and the file doesn’t holdup like a RAW will, but it’s great for processing them.
