I agree, I have four of them. Two with the little threaders. One with the two compartments for shot and indicators and 1.5 cards, and one with four cards to hold plenty of misc flies for backup. I still need one more for my streamers.
They are the best box out there IMO. I sure hope them Nashville ganstas never figure out how much money in gear the average fly fisherman carries with him on stream. Of course in my case he better bring heat if he wants my CF’s.CF boxes can become every bit as addictive as an off white rock in a glass pipe…”crack” for anglers everywhere…
Typically it starts with a single box…maybe two if it is Christmas (Zach) or the wife didn’t know about those two $20’s hidden in the secret stash pocket in the wallet…and you’ll justify the purchase since “In two boxes you have EVERYTHING you need for a day on the water”…but be warned…it will not stop there…
I use a CF for all my midge/BWO/small fly stuff (pretty much the only box I carry around in the winter) and like it a lot.
It’s the kind with an extra leaf in the middle, though I admit to getting pretty irritated when it takes two hands to close the damn thing. Sometimes the plastic hinges don’t hold both halves of the clamshell in aligment, so the latch won’t engage.
Be nice if they fixed that flaw, especially given the cost of the things.

They are great but check out the new System X from SA. I really like the clear lids on both sides.
