Interesting trip – part 2

Well, it seems I have reached the plateau and have started back.  Friday, I could not use my arms or legs and today I actually “walked” about 100 feet with the aid of a walker an 2 nurses, but boy is it slow.  The Plasmapheresis treatments, where they take all of the plasma out of your blood and replace it with artificial plasma, really wipes me out.  I’ve had 2 and have 3 more to look forward to.  Hopefully, I will be out of the hospital Saturday or Sunday, however they may be putting me in rehab.

Talking to others experienced with GBS, I’m a lucky guy.  It never reached my resperatory system.
All the prayers seem to be working.

I hope you guys don’t mind the non fishing posts, but this is one of my few links with the outside world right now.

Very glad to hear you are doing better Bob! Keep heading in that direction! I certainly don’t mind that this post has nothing to do with fishing. You are a friend to fly fishing and I think the most important thing is your health and this website can make you feel good when you need it most. I will keep the prayers coming and by all means keep us posted on your recovery.
