    I was wondering if anyone is or has used the indicator leaders that are now available? I know Rio makes one, and Ive heard of other companies making hot butt leaders??
    I hate casting indicators, so I was thinking of trying something like this…..

    Not sure what a hot butt leader does for you that a high floating leader wouldn’t do.

    A friend of mine gave me the Scientific Anglers indicator line for my 6 wt. Seems like normal line but the last 3 feet was bright orange (now faded orange). Casts quite good, I use it mostly for larger dries but also works good all-around for nymphs and streamers.

    Rio says their new indicator lines pair pretty well with the indicator leaders.

    Doug, I use an indicator leader primarily for wet fly fishing.
