    Chad-thanks, the Yampa,actually just the road thru the elk preserve.

    Jason, those are some great shots on that web site. I really love your buddies perspective and ideas for composition. His photographs are very well executed and, IMO, some of the very best fly fishing photographs that I have seen!

    Great shots, Jason! One question though…

    Did the trout take it:

    I’ve never been able to get one on a wasp/yellow jacket fly, yet I see them on the water all the time.

    Darin-I got 4 takes on yellowjackets that day,lotsa hoppers too,it was
    really windy,and the trout were looking for the big bugs.
    Some more hoppers….

    Went out to take some images the other day,not much with the
    trout,but this mountain bluebird was sitting on the snow next to me,eating midges off the snow.
    (Sialia currucoides)
