Sorry about the late post guys; I got back from IFTD on Friday night and immediately turned around to go to a weekend house party in NC on Saturday morning.
Jay and I met with a number of additional companies whose products you’ll be seeing in the gear blog. I want to mention the Winston Nexus, an all-black Made-in-America Winston for $475. I liked it a lot and made a couple power casts to see where it would collapse. No bottom with this line, Captain. It had all the power I could use for max range casts.
I was also a fan of the Vedavoo company (http://vedavoo.com/), which has an awesome story to tell. I am going to try to get their owner on the podcast. I wound up using one of their coozies/talc bags at the house party and it was super nice. They make some awesome bags.
Another interesting entry came from Reel Britannia, an all-British reel company specializing in anti-reverse reels. You’ll be seeing content about these and other new manufacturers and new products in the Gear Reviews blog over the next few days and weeks.
Probably the thing I wanted hardest at the whole show was this!

They’re actually for sale! $300 dealer pricing gets you the most comfortable party float couch of all time.
Also this happened:

When Jays collide, the world stops. Seriously the guys from GeoBass took to Jay like he was one of their own. I can’t imagine what connection they saw with him. 🙂
This was also a nice surprise:

That’s a joke that goes back a long way.
Watch the Gear Blog for more! I’ve already loaded content for this week.
