Driving around today, I saw one of those Texas DAV (Disabled American Veteran) license plates which always makes me think … how lucky I am, and what could I possibly do to make up for such high sacrifices. Now, someone somewhere must have already thought of this (and I am a what if person), but what if those of us who tie did a demonstration at a nearby DAV hospital on the same day nationwide? And what if some of us actually found someone among all the Veterans who actually wanted to learn, and continue, tying? And what if they could sell and we could find and buy from these tiers?
I have been in enough medical facilities in a professional capacity to see there are a lot of people capable and wanting to do something other than just sit in the same spot putting a permanent dent in a sterile chair.
I am sure there are a thousand rational reasons why not, but I, for one, would pay the going price + to know where my buggers are coming from. Perhaps this is too lowly a labor? I know WE all tie our own, but the general public consumption?
Talk me out of this somebody – please. shannon
