    I too would get the Ross. That is a great reel for a great price espeacially with the extra spool. I am a huge fan of Ross reels. They have a great drag system and they are very user friendly. Plus if you need to switch from left handed to right handed retrieve it is a very simple process. I own six Ross reels. One Gunnison and five Evolutions and none of them has ever done me wrong. Let us know which one you go with mending machine.

    I would go with the Lamson Velocity myself, but the 1.5 is a little small for a 6wt.

    Sierra is where I saw the Velocity-I really like that reel, but the extra spools would kill me.

    Why not the Orvis?

    The short answer would be because I think it sucks when compared to the other two.
