Just finished a doz hot glue eggs.
12 or 14 Scud or nymph hook.
RUMPF 5/16 mini glue sticks in Oregon cheese color.
They sink fast, look perfect, kinda hard, seem durable, EZ as hell to make.
The ultimate test will be the next trip on the river.

I hate to diss a FF company but the Otter eggs, as good as they are, just don’t last long enough on a hook. Considering they are plastic and they cost almost $3.00 for 12 little bitty eggs and you can buy a ten pound bag-o-worms made of the same stuff at Bass pro shops for a buck fifty. I think it’s safe to say the glue eggs, if they work, will be the better deal.

    To be continued.

My wife had the mini glue gun and the sticks were very cheap. I haven’t looked but I bet a craft store has everything you need.

Oh man, I need all the help I can get. I have to get a leg up on the Grumpy dude and a couple others who constantly outfish me.

It’s a trout spawning bed. They fan the silt out and leave a light spot easily seen. There are usually some nice fish close to them and you’ll see the males fertilize it from time to time. It looks like a big white cloud when they do it.

Here is a photo I took of one on the Cumberland.

Fly south has the red but he didn’t have the cheese color so I went to Bass pro shops fly shop. I am sure they are going through the motions on the CF CB. I guess I should mention you really should be careful not to step in them, just in case.

Here is another fun fly for the Stripped fishes.
