My first new post – I hope I don’t blow it!

I’ve had a few days off with some hunting/fishing success. I’m a brand new photographer-want-to-be and would love some tips.

My little brother on Turkey Day with an 8 Weight.

A nice 8 point the day after Thanksgiving.

    My Uncle’s Pecan Orchard post-harvest.

Cloudy day…waiting for the birds to move.

Nice pics Grant.  I can only assume you’ve had a few lessons because you did a great job on these shots IMHO.  For a Canon EO/Rebel and 18-55 lens (sorry, I peeked at your EXIF data) you pretty much nailed the composition and exposure, spot on.  Those trees are perfectly centered and drew my attention right to the subject. The shot of the guy holding the bass at wide open 18mm while holding the camera looking “up” to the subject makes for a very interesting shot.  Those are good instincts. Keep em coming.

    Where is SanSaba?

    Where is SanSaba?

San Saba is on the western edge of the Texas hill country.
