I hate to show my ignorance, but what is a “hitched tube”?

Bob-Any tube fly tied on a plastic tube can be hitched, the ones from the Iceland tend to be small- 1/2inch in length,by closing the front of the tube, and melting holes with a needle just behind the head of the fly,and threading the tippet through, you can make it “hitch” or create a V wake, just like a Bomber for steelhead(you hitch them so they skate longer between dryouts, and presenting the fly when it skates.)

Bob-the monofilament goes in one side and out the back, then you tie the hook, and pull it up into the tube, leaving the gap and point exposed…and it won’t work on still water, unless you strip like crazy,I guess, its really meant for current…like skating a caddis down and across for trout.
