    The camera manufacturer website is:

Some of their cameras are capable of nearly 1,000,000 frames per second. Check out the videos in the gallery. The rattlesnake strike is quite cool.

I went on a test shoot with a phantom camera that shoots 1000fps connected to a DVCProHD deck. Very cool set up that requires two operators, one for the camera and one to work the computer and VTR on the recording end.
The shoot was to test for shooting the NCAA basketball tournament. Our test subjects was The Colorado 14ers, an NBA-D league team. We shot at 400fps and the results were pretty amazing. The only problem was that the lights in the arena weren’t designed for video, so there was a very apparent flicker to them and the LED banners around the seating.

Check out these videos on YouTube They were shot with the camera, but not the stuff we shot.

    Enjoyed those Chad, Thanks.

It’s an interesting tool for analyzing everything from naturally occuring phenonema to sports. As well as just being fun to watch.
