Zach, it might be a couple more weeks on those stripers. My boat, which was supposed to be fixed in two weeks (it wasn’t) and then was supposed to be ready last week (no dice) and then was supposed to be ready for pickup the first part of this week (nada) still isn’t done.
I called the Bass Tracker Service Center on Wednesday to ask what the delay was, and they told me a part was on back order. I said “okay, fine” – but then I got to thinking some more, and I called back yesterday to ask what part we were waiting on. They told me it was…
A LUG NUT! AAAGH!!!
Granted, there was a lug nut missing on the trailer when it went in, and that’s one of the many items I asked them to fix. But back order?!
If my schedule were a little less busy, maybe I’d drive down to AutoZone and buy them a lug nut myself. How exotic a lug nut size can it be?
Anyway, the weather probably wasn’t shaping up for a great striper weekend anyway, but I just got my 8wt Sage back, and I would have liked to get out on the lake for a practice run.
Maybe Santa will bring me that lug nut…
