The Tracker Service Ctr. tells me my boat should finally be back in action some time next week.

Zach, I have a several years of experience to draw from on the Stripers but them darn Trout have invaded my every thought lately and the Stripers just don’t excite me much anymore. Most people who Striper fish will tell you that the best way to catch a Striper is to fish with someone who has been keeping up with their movements. BD lives close enough to a great Striper fishery that he should be able to get some idea of their movements, if I quit drawing him away to Trout fish… I hear the Skipjack are in the canal BD.

To some extent, the skipjack are always in the canal – the numbers just increase when it turns cold.  In truth, I think the stripers on the Cumberland follow the threadfin and gizzard shad more than the skipjack.

Regardless, the skipjack are fun to fish for in their own right.

Yea, but the skippies follow the Shad too. Chicken of the sea.
