    Hi all
I’ve been following the board for a little while now, great place.I mainly fish the salt but try to get to the speckled fish once or twice a year,it’s about a 4 hour drive from where I live in Queensland to the Trout waters in the New England region of New South Wales(just up the hill from Morsie’s and DA’s Bass shots).Fish are stocked but the country side and streams make up for that. These pic’s are from opening weekend(October) last year.

Please don’t judge my pic’s on DA’s and Morsie’s standards, not all Aussie’s take shots as good as that pair :D.
    cheers

Those are sure a lot prettier stocked trout than we have – most of ours look exactly like the washed-out ones you buy at the grocery store.

It’s perfect 2-3# short rod country, but the first pic is of Juan Del Carmen fishing a 10 footer Czech nymphing and he kicked our arse that day

    Nice shots Courty !

That area has some of the best looking trout water in Australia, pity the days Morsie and I went there it rained like buggery and we got a bit flooded out.. :-[

The Cod fishing down the mountain made up for it.. 🙂

We should meet up there sometime this summer and hunt Hobbits.. ;D

As far as I know they are released as fry,the older hatchery fish get released in waters that have easier public access.
