I have now lost my Tibor Backcountry wide to her new sage.

Brett, it’s o.k. to buy her the best in fly fishing gear but please don’t spoil her additionally by buying her a Porsche at age 16, ha. Get her a rig with a Yak Rack so she can put up her Native Kayak. I can’t wait until we finally get together chasing some Texas Redfish, maybe she will be ready to join by then.

Bad news on the Helios 10wt. I broke it offshore when a gigantic, weighted cobia fly hit it on the cast

Brett, you are now the third person I know to break a Helios rod! I witnessed a buddy break a 4wt on a 20″ trout myself. I am getting a bit concerned since I have the same rod as you 😕 Luckily you have the warranty.

The cobia and snapper were putty in our hands with a massive dead baitfish on the hook.

I hear ya buddy.
