Hi
Great site so pleased to have found it.
Here in the UK we do not have the wide open spaces you enjoy in the United States. It must be a thrill to be able to find a spot where after a hike; you can cast a line on a virgin stretch of water. Here the rivers are husbanded and manicured to the N’th degree, and the only true wild fish are the migratory, salmon and sea trout.
I have recently had the pleasure of reading a book by an American author, William Humphrey, a Texan from Clarkesville, The Spawning Run, who describes a fishing trip to the UK in the 1960’s. A wonderful read amusing and so accurate in his observation.
Age has restricted my piscatorial outings but not my love of the sport, so keep up your postings, and keep this old man happy.
