Got out with the Caneybuff yesterday.

Took Caneybuff out and had a fantastic day. We caught some decent numbers of much larger then average Rainbows and were content to call it a day. On the way back to the ramp we stopped so that Caneybuff could play around with the shooting head system. He is new to this method and wanted to practice a little bit. He quickly determined it’s alot of work and was about to quit when this guy decided to eat the fly. He was excited to say the least. I think he was even shaking a little. He said that thing felt like a freaking log….
He is a better shot of the fish that Caneybuff took while I was reviving the fish.
I guess that it goes without saying that any trout that you have to use the Boga grip on is a pretty damn big trout.
Dan did Grumpy give you a rod to use? I might be shouting at you this week after work if the schedule permits. But then again my wife is going in for back surgery tomorrow so this week might be full, we’ll have to see how things go.
