    Hello all.

While I’m new to this forum, I’ve been around “online” since the cascasding days of the old VFS forum.  Most know me as KP, although my real name (yes–first and last, Zach!) are self evident.

Should you find yourself in NW Montana, drop me a line.  I have the summers off and a great river in the back yard.

Welcome, KP…  NW Montana is the most beautiful place on earth.  I lived in Libby for a couple of summers and floated the river(s) a ton of times with a friend and hiked into the Cabinets with my fly rod too.  That place is an outdoor lovers dream.  Can’t wait to see more pics from you…

sorry for the colors on this pic… 🙂

I have one question though…how do you figure you have your summers off? Aren’t you still guiding on the Koot?

By day, I’m a mild-mannered school guidance counselor.  By summer, I still guide the Kootenai for both Kootenai River Outfitters and Linehan Outfitting Company.

Truth be told, the economy is kicking our butts, and my normally busy summer guiding schedule is, well, not so busy these days.  Actually, that’s pretty fine with me for two reasons:

    1)  I get to fish more myself.

    2)  Three of my four kids are in college.  IF I lose money in the summer, it drives down my adjusted gross income.  The lower my adjusted gross, the more the kids get in financial aid.

It’s a great problem to have.

BTW, the Koot’ was on FIRE today.  We fished a Swisher parachute Madame X

    all
    day
    long.

It’s nice when it works that way.   😉
