John BennettMemberToday was day 2 of 2009 on the water for me.Tomorrow I’m having a tumor removed from my sinus cavity. Its not malignant “yet” but has a high percentile of turing so….. It’s not something I’ve been losing alot of sleep over but it has been weighing on me a bit. So today two of my friends met me for some Steel. Good friends, a gorgeous day and some good fishing can do alot for a persons peace of mind.
It started early and it wasn’t long before DD has his first pig of 2009. ;D

Shortly after releasing that pig he hooked up with a real one.

I even managed to get in on some action.

And not long after that I was 2 for 2

Around 9:00 our friend Steve joined us with his switch rod for a change of pace

The morning wore on and more poeple started showingup so we made our way a little upstream. We wanted our little peice of paradise to ourselves this day

Saw a nice little spot to get some shots of Steve working the switch on a small stream.

And before we could really get into it DD hooks up again

Few more drifts and it was time for me to get home.

Can’t think of a better way to spend a day.

David AndersonMemberGreat shots John !
I love the one of the river bend, it’s great to get that kind of view of a river you’ve never been too and it really gives everything scale.
Nice fish as well.. 😉
Best of luck with the surgery.. 🙂

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.
