    Hey guys –

Lauren and my house purchase went through.

Congrats to you and Lauren on your first house! I still remember my first house purchase. I was 23 years old and the thought of being that much in debt was terrifying! The funny thing about it now as I look back on that is that I only paid $65,000 for that house and it just sold for $250,000! Kind of wish I would have kept that old house around a little longer.

Are you headed to a stream or a lake for those Brookies Zach?

Zach big ups on the new house. It was the scariest and most rewarding thing I and my wife ever did and we never regreted it since our first was in California and sold for twice the price we payed in only 5 years and recently sold again for nearly 200k more than we got. Now we have an almost new  home that’s way bigger on 1.5 acers here in Arkansas for a lot less than the one in Cali with no land that was over 50 yrs. old and only 986 square feet. The only draw back is all that mowing and no fresh sushi down the street. There is always a trade off.

Good luck with the brookies. They are one of my favorite fish to catch if for nothing more than there beauty.

Unfortunatley, I did not catch this fish it’s from one of the guys on another board and he was very proud to say the least. It’s somewere in arizona.
Yachting that is funny! I’ve done some in the Bay area years ago what a fun time but plenty of work especially since it was usually myself and the captian most of the time fighting the potato patch going under the golden gate on a 40 ft Irwin. We almost did the sail to Hawaii but he got hurt on the job and that never came to fruition. That would have been a great sail.

    Congrats man!
Fishing is a great way to celebrate the house!

My house is almost built, just 5 more weeks. I’m doing a pre-celebration with my trip this weekend!

Zach, congratulations! All the stress and time spent will be well worth it. Best of luck making it a home.
