    I know it isn’t fishin, but I am having a heckuva spring.

    The missing spur means that it was reared in a hatchery, then stocked in the woods earlier that day.

    Hey Zach, was James bird killed on public land? Just curious I have been hunting the Cherokee national forest and have had some close encounters but have yet to smoke one. This is my first season.

    Tough to locate on public land, partly due to my mediocre calling probably and partly because I am not getting out there at the right times.
