Member2009 midyear Recap: What a year so far!

________________________________________
Apache Trout JanuaryStarting in January with the Salmo Apache. Arizona’s own native trout, and the only state on the planet you can catch one of these golden beauties. The Apache is a treat for both resident and out of town anglers. Amongst traveling to the ghostly waters of Lee’s Ferry my friends Corey and Brian found fish all around the state with me.

Salmo Trutta FebruaryThen in February, I went to meet up with a brother in Idaho. We chased McCloud River rainbows in the Big Wood and thumper Salmo Truttas in eastern Oregon. This trip was a blast we fished river, laughed and fished some more. Paul and I always seem to mange as many laughs as takes. Been fishing together for a long time now and our adventure count is now up there from over the years. I’ll be visiting Paul again in July for a little Bull Trout and Red Band excursion, look for the updates to come. This one should be good and I’m personally losing sleep dreaming over it.

______________________________________Lohontan Trout March
March gave way to a Midwestern amigo, Brad, coming down to visit. A four day blast of the southwest’s best lead us to a mixed bag of fins from Colorado to New Mexico and all states in-between.March also brought Clarki Henshaw a.k.a. the Lohontan cutthroat. Fishing from ladders will always make me smile. Another thing that made me smile this trip, was the addition of wife Tara. She made her first real fishing pilgrimage with us to Pyramid Lake.

Gila Trout April
April was Salmo Gilae in and around some of the Wild West’s most notorious history. Tara and I spent a long weekend hiking into and out of the Gila Wilderness. Between Mogollon ruins thousands of years and the birthstones of Cochise and Geronimo to country stores with lore of being once robbed by Billy the Kid, a truly amazing trip. I look forward to my return in June with friend Corey. Upon our return we will assuredly fill you all in with a full report of another Gila Wilderness adventure.

Tiger Trout MayMay brought me to Utah and my friend Corey searching for the elusive Tiger Trout (sorry the Latin is too long). I got to meet up with one of Corey’s buddies Doug.
Present day: Off to fish Roosters in the Baja. Report when I get back.

MemberHey all – thanks for the serious praise.
Folks are too funny, want to be me. LOL
Tim – emailed you. You’re in brother. Connect with Churche for details.
Lee you’re right, don’t own conventional gear. Not that I’m against it, just hawked it about fifteen years ago so I could by a crappy float tube to fish lakes.
Matt- leaving early next week. Shoot me an email or PM, will give you my BB # it follows me like an ankle braclet, the only thread that keeps me ground to corp A.
Ck – see you in two weeks.
Here’s a taste of what’s to come;

The ticker is counting boys… eighteen months and I walk out. No more cubes.
