Ok, this is my third time trying to make this post and my will has been broken after spending the last hour and a half trying to give lots of details about the weekend. Since I am fearful of this happening AGAIN too me I will give the brief post with some pictures.
This is the what the cabin looks like in winter and the method of getting up there close by.

Having a big fire is very important to have when planning trips. It helps you think and it causes you to drink! ๐

We hiked up to Dolus lake which is about 2 1/4 miles from the cabin. Sounds easy…did I mention there is a 1700 foot gain in elevation?

The hike is worth it even on snow shoes and grinding through 4 to 5 feet of snow. This is what it looks like when you get there.

The fishing was great and the hands were cold so I didn’t take many photos was we were there. Here are a few.

This is Brians first ever fish caught during a funhog weekend! Oh and this is his fourth or fifth time….

In order to accomplish a hike like this one must have a lot of these. Cameron this one’s for you buddy!

We topped the weekend off with a great snowmobile ride into Goat Mountain Lake. The snow was DEEP up there and we got to enjoy a couple of feet of fresh powder! Lots of fun!

It was a great weekend and my soul is a much happier one as a result of it. Now if I could just say the same about my liver…. ::)
