The accommodations there are just fine. You can get a discount on the rate if you book a guided trip with the shop. There are less expensive options, but staying in the cabins puts you right on the river. The best part about staying in their cabins is that it allows you to fish their private stretch of water. The shop itself has the largest fly selection of any shop I have ever seen.

If you want to go the guide route ask for Dan Cone or Mike Calcattera. They are both great guys and will put you on plenty of fish. Which ever way you decide to go, you will have a great time. The Frying Pan is a great river.

I stayed at the aspenalt in basalt and thought it was great. It’s not fancy but it’s clean and affordable. I was just there in October and had a great trip. You don’t need a guide on the pan.

Check out Taylor creek fly shop or give Cam a call there and ask him.

You’ll have a great trip. The pan is one of my favorite rivers and basalt is very cool.

PM if you have specific questions.
