    Hey guys-

    I am headed up to Glenwood Springs, CO in 2 weeks and wanted to get some suggestions from some of you that have fished this area.

    The Frying Pan itself will be your best bet.

    Matt — The Frying Pan below Reudi Dam is a classic tailwater, so it’s controlled by humans, not Ma Nature. My guess is that you can count on fishing close to the dam for wild rainbows and the occassional brown.  Runoff is not usually a factor.

    These fish are wild, highly educated, and challenging. But worth every second of your time.

    Just noticed a report on another board that the BuRec has upped the flows to 330 cfs so the reservoir will have room for the expected big runoff this spring.
