Some guys from NC have released a new e-zine about flyfishing in the south.  Their first issue has landed on computers everywhere and… its pretty good.   Think of drake on slow-simmer.  Pretty well put together so thought I would share.

Having spent most of my life in the south, and having spent a good deal of that time fly fishing locally but reading about the trouty northeast and points west, I can really appreciate what these guys are trying to do.  Hope they keep it up.

Looking … looking … looking … no largemouth bass … no fingerbitinghybrids? Guess I’m thinking south not southern? No matter though … what do they pay for ms/photography? We could bring them some Chicken Fried Nation southern Fly Fishing Culture on the Skids – halloween hybrids included!

Scott…I agree and kind of stoked that they let a midwest Yankee sneak a food piece in on a favorite haunt of ours on Sullivan’s Island called Poe’s Tavern.

I like seeing Georgia get some attention, particularly the Shoal Bass. Best sport fish nobody knows about.

I consider Texas southwestern. The south ends at the Mississippi river.

I guess that means Louisiana isn’t southern. I’ll tell everyone else in the state for you.

I like the new SCOTF magazine. I’m looking forward to future issues. More fly fishing and grit eating will surely be in the next issue.
