Great stuff Kevin! Do you sell your work? I know some people who would be interested.

The quick answer is no, not quite yet – I do not want to over commit…. BUT

They are for sell on a one by one basis as of now. If somebody wants something, I’ll do it especially to build the portfolio a little and to see what folks want. This is something to rebuild and start something new for myself. I am figuring out the pricing game because the last time I sold paintings was portraits to pay for school in 1990, prices have changed quite a bit.

I am also working hard to get my chops back, relax and not over work it. Painting is much like fishing. If you try to hard – you get skunked. I am still over working it a bit. This set was kind of like quick gesture work in school, 20-30 minutes each to loosen me back up. They were all done on Sunday with my morning coffee.

Once I get everything back together from the fire and the new born baby, I’ll be creating prints as well as commission work. I have shirt, hat, poster, thank you cards and calendar designs that are also in the works.

A website is also in the works. It was in the works before the fire and the baby, the baby brag book took that over. The fire also made me focus on what I truly enjoy which is fishing as a whole. That changed the focus of the whole website idea.

I’m in search of a writer for the calendar project – if anyone is interested. Fly knowledge a plus and I’ll split any profit. We can go over the ideas on an fishing trip. You have to talk about something in the car.

Chad – These are smaller. 9×6 just because the idea was quick studies.

I usually do an 8×10 image on a 9 x12 sheet because it is a good portable size and easy to frame. I might start working more in this size bacause they are quicker for me and I can sell them at a price that people feel they are getting a value. It is also a good desk size. These were fun to do. I am presently 4 weeks out on work which is good and bad. I wish I didnt have the day job so I could knock it out faster. Starving artist mentality kicks in and scares me to death – I need a little more in place before I can jump into the deep end and do this full time..

I am also backed up due to creating a website. That should be up and running in about a month or so.

I need help with pricing or need to research much more. Prices for this type of work is all over the place. If anyone has any suggestions or knows someone. Just let me know.

I ACTUALLY POSTED THESE BECAUSE I ENJOYED DOING THEM and was happy with the results.
