The last two weekends I had a chance to get out on the Guadalupe River here in Central Texas and shoot some with a fellow TU member.  It was challenging, and I feel like I have learned a lot from it.  Thought I would share the images and see what y’all thought.

About the first 50 images are the new images.

Nice job … 2, 9, 18, 19 stand out for me … I really enjoy the shots that feature the uniqueness of the location. The colors there are really nice and, again, the tree roots really jump out at me. I really notice the shots with the trees.

Some really nice photos in the mix there John.

2, 13, 35….there are more I really like – oh, the jumping fish shot, and the one where the fish is power-stroking its tail.

That said, I’d *really* like 34 – IF you’d kept then angler in the upper 3rd – or left 3rd of the image. Instead of him being the focus, it’s as if the river (the dark, river) becomes the focuse, as it is in the magic spot.

You’ve the lines there to do good things – would love to see it cropped down.

Thanks guys for your input…I appreciate it!

Kendal – #34, I see what you are saying.  Unfortunately, I had to shoot it that way, because there are a bunch of houses on the right side bank which I did not want in the picture.  I could crop, but I wonder if I crop, will I have much of a usable image left?  My Canon 10D is only a 6.3 mp camera.  I can’t get anything more to the right, as this image is full frame.

The Guad is a beautiful river, but the land is mostly private, and there are lots of houses
