If you ever get the chance, check out peacock bass fishing in south Florida. Butterfly peacocks, which grow to a maximum of about 10 pounds, were introduced into south Florida waters in 1984. They’ve thrived.

They’re a great fly rod fish. Trick is sinking lines and sinking flies. Occasionally, they’re take a popper.

Peacocks are agressive and very strong.

Those fish are simply beautiful, and acrobatic it seems as well. Nice slide show Steve.

Fantastic! I have wanted to get down to fish for them for a couple of years now… You just fueled my fire… Great shots of a beautiful fish!
