Anyone ever have their float tube start deflating while in the middle of a pond or lake? Ā Happened to me earlier today; it’s a little unnerving while you’re sitting in 30′ deep water wondering:

    a) How fast can I kick and how far away is the nearest shore?
    b) If I go down, what things do I grab and swim for shore with?
    c) Do I break the fish off I’m currently playing while the air leaks out or “just one more”?

Anyway, I think I’m upgrading to a kayak soon.

There’s always time for “just one more…”

One thing I like about pontoons is that they’ll float even with one deflated.

I was wearing a PFD but really didn’t want to find out how swimming was going to be with it on.

I’m not sure yet – I got home and dumped all my gear and headed into the office for an afternoon of work šŸ™

    Zack,
A pontoon, with one side deflated, turns into a buoy. The deflated side and the angler, end up under the water.
