Fishing in Vancouver BC

I am going to vancouver for seven weeks during the summer june and july. All the fishing seems to be in boats in the sea is there any other Fishing near or around the city in rivers? I am a fly fisher from Ireland. Also what kind of flys would be needed and rod weights.

lots of opportunities for Stillwater, Stream, and Beach fishing. Give us some specifics such as the dates you will be here.

Salmon: Coho, Chinook, Chum,

I will be there from the 1st of june through till the 15th of july. Mainly interested in trout and char will go for some salmon if easy enough to access. I can take a couple of rods and reels. Thanks for your help.

I heard that the harrison river was good for cutthroat and salmon what do you think?

The Harrison is a great producer. But it can be a bit challenging since the water is gin clear. If your presentation is good you won’t be disappointed.
