    I noticed there seems to be several wooden boat devotees on the forum. I posted photos on a wooden driftboat forum I participate in and thought some of you may find the project interesting also.

    Allan,

    A work of art! Great job! What’s the bottom coated with? Looks like Rhinohide or LineX.

    Now…..when are we gonna scratch it up?

    The bottom is a honeycomb laminate called plascore and has kevlar on insede and outside, then coated with Linex truck bed liner on outside.

    Allan, the problem with that boat is it is almost too pretty to put in the water! With all of the hours you have put into that boat you will be going nuts the first time somebody steps into it with a muddy boot or the first time they put that muddy boot up on your nicely finished wood.

    Damn sexy boat for sure but the stress of taking people out in it would be too much for me to enjoy.

    That boat truly is stunning Alan. Your work is simply amazing. If you didn’t count your time what does a boat like that cost a guy if you don’t mind me asking?
