What type of Kayak are you in, and does the rudder help with the wind and tracking?

My PFD was strapped in behind me over the tank well.

Nice to see you getting back out there, Bob.

I never wear my life jacket either.

Happy to see you back on the water. Life challenges brings fishing and all of our other hobbies into perspective. I know I have a deeper love for the sport after my past year and the time on the water truly does make it all worth while.

I lost everything but a rod and a small box of flies that was in my truck and the clothes on my back in a house fire. Not the same ordeal that you have been through and no one was physically injured – but an eye opener for sure. The whole thing changed my perspective. We shouldnt take our simple pleasures for granted. This forum is bringing back some other loves as well. To see you on a kayak is going to cost me money because kayaking is what brought me to the river to begin with… Now I have to have a kayak again – just not set up for white water.
