Well the 2008 season here kicked yesterday, its already 2 weeks late dur to the huge smowfall of this last winter with a grand total of 6.8 metre of snow precipitation (22 feet), and yes we still have some snow
The spring tradition here is sea run brook trout (post spawn run) also called kelyt trout fishing here in this part of Quebec. These beauties are descending their spawning rivers where they spent the last long winter to finnaly migrate back to the food rich ocean to feed on sandeels and capelin. In about 10 to 12 days these brutes will be healthy and fat before they migrate back up river for their annual spawn run.
