Dad set up a trip for us on Fathers Day and it was a good one. We caught until noon and stopped aboout as quick as the sun hit the river. All in all a good day. My largest fish was 33″ and weighed in at 20lb and Dad’s was 35″ and weighed in at 21.5 lb.
(white bucktail with a red head – dad’s was caught with a spinning reel on top water)
I wish I had a picture when it hit the fly. It scared us to death. It hit close to the boat and we were in a little 10 foot john boat. The picture would look similar to the tarpon on this issue of the Drake. Sort of a what have I gotten into moment.
