Took the family up north for a break and some lake time. The weather was cool and cloudy for three days so I was left with no choice but to hit the local stretch.
Darn the luck
The place was perfect
Bunches of these
Searched for some new water
Found a place I will go back to, just to see if this one is still there
I’ll remeber the lake just like this until next year
As much as I love the North Country, I can never get back to my home waters fast enough.
This is for Lampros, cause I know even though he is in Trout Mecca, he’s achin’ for a little Tail.
Gave this one a good squeeze for what he’d done

Very nice. Looks like you had a great trip. Did you throw any of your sz. 32’s at them? You will have to bring some of those flies into the shop so I can see them.

Jason, I didn’t make it to the castle on this trip, but I have been there in the past. I did make it to the Chapel for the first time this year. It was just after the sun came up and I found the Chapel to be a really cool place to sip some coffee and down a granola bar before I harrassed some of the locals.

Keep up the good work out west buddy. Let me know if you get back here anytime. We are scheduled to start our stream improvements any day. We are just waiting for some dry weather.
