Hoppers, beetles, ants; there are tons of them around and some big fish (and small fish) have taken notice. PMD’s are still going strong on the South Fork. I’ve been able to fish a bunch his week and the combination of PMD’s on the riffles and hoppers on the banks has made for some really fun fishing! Here’s some shots from the last week or so on a variety of water:

This is the kind of stuff that makes me wish I was out west. Awesome fish. Thanks for posting.

Dang, that is awfully close for kind of a weird patterned fish to begin with.

Same river…..I don’t know what section Jim got his, but I do know those browns move quite a bit.

    Lando,

I was on 4, near what I’ve heard some guys call Jurassic Park. Close?

Lando you have spots on your anal fin and Jim does not….I mean your FISH has spots on its anal fin and Jim’s does not.

    Sweet fish and report.

Very similiar fish but not the same. Didnt pick up on the anal fin difference but did note that the spots below the lateral just above both Jim/Lando’s baby fingers both form something of a triangle but the two are inversed

    Lando,
I would still say that day we had on the SF with JD was the best day of fishing I have ever had.

    Todd,

How is she fairing with the high temps? Has the Corps got it all figured out now? Looking forward to terrestrials and Tricos…

It’s all good. Hit it yesterday with my son and my dad. Fish for everyone and 64 degrees to boot. Trico’s and midges are the theme of the day.
