    Finally was able to get out on the water when temperatures weren’t sub-freezing and/or the wind wasn’t howling.

    Got into a very nice midge hatch.

    Browns and Whitefish were active in the heads of pools and in slack water.

    But, every once and a while you do get lucky.  My largest ever Brown on a #18 midge larvae on the 4wgt 7.5 Orvis Troutbum.  This one taped at 25″
