Spent the past couple of days steelheading again. Took a buddy over to fish PA. We knew it was going to be tough with the lack of water, but gave it a shot anyway. We were on the water by first light and it was game on from there. We had a nice section of water all to ourselves. In fact we never saw another angler the whole time we were fishing, very odd for a Sunday. It didn’t take long to start getting into fish. Here is the first fish of the day.

From here it was lights out.

Oh, yeah forgot to mention all the fish were caught on the swing.

This little guy caught me a sleep at the wheel and smoked some line off the reel.

I even let my buddy have some fun as well. This was his first fish on his new 6wt. switch. Not a bad fish to break a rod in on.

I can’t recall how many hits we had that day but it was over 30 easy. Not a bad way to spend the day.

Does anyone else have a lucky hat that rivals Mike’s.

The walk wasn’t to bad only about 15 minutes.

Forgot to put this picture up, got to love switch rods.
